Model Portfolio Photo Shoot in an Elevator

A while ago I was meeting a friend in Auckland City and where we met, I noticed that there was this crazy, old school elevator. It had a red leather back and steel sides with a cage at the front and straight away, I thought that it would be perfect for a photoshoot.

Often when I am out, I take note of different locations and if I think they would be good for a photoshoot, I write them down and even try to snap a photo or two of them on my phone. This means that I have a little database of locations that I can troll for any type of shoot.

Over a year later I had a photoshoot arranged with a model and I remembered the elevator. I thought that it would be a perfect location for the shoot so I made some inquires to see if I could get after hours access to the elevator. After a few emails the photoshoot was a go.

duo-Photos-blue-doorsI turned up with a car load of gear, including light stands and lighting modifiers. It took about two hours to set up and test, before the model arrived. When she arrived, we could start taking photographs almost straight away.

The photoshoot was a great success and thanks to my assistant J.T. who was invaluable on the day, and also in arranging the shoot. Enjoy the photos and Professionalphotos is available for fashion and portfolio work at reasonable rates.
